NOYES 2 - The UYU Issue

35.00

The only thing better than setting off for new shores with good friends are good friends who open up new shores for you.

On invitation, Max Threlfall travelled to Uruguay for 31 days at the beginning of 2020 to get an idea of a country that plays no role in our everyday perception.

A photographer interested in people cannot miss the chance to get behind-the-scenes insights from good friends and to let the foreign become friendly in order to shed tourist clichés. Uruguay, the - because of the big neighbours Brazil and Argentina - often forgotten pearl north of the Rio de la Plata, is the smallest Spanish-speaking country in South America.
There, Max not only enjoyed hospitality, but also spent a lot of time capturing the country and its people with his camera.
There were plenty of opportunities to do so. Everyday life in Montevideo or exploring the heartland on one's own have many little treasures to discover.

If you look closely, you will notice that in some places the grass is greener and the mushrooms appear pinker, purely psychedelically speaking. If you would like to be taken on a trip or two by Max and share his experiences, this zine is highly recommended. Until then, off to new shores...
